Training camp happenings

-Ralph Wilson wasn't expected to make it to training camp until after his Hall of Fame induction. But the Bills owner made a surprise visit to camp today and took in a practice. After the practice, the 90 year old owner gave a speech to players at midfield for about 5 minutes. Wilson was then driven away in his golf cart (Wilson's version of the pope mobile) without talking to the media.-

-Wide receiver Steve Johnson missed practice today with a rib injury. Jauron says the rib isn't broken and the receiver should be out for the rest of the week. -

-The Bills did break out the pads today at practice and so begins the physicality of training camp. I've been preaching that Jauron needs to up the tempo when it comes to practicing. Jauron is known in some circles as being pretty laid back when it comes to practices. If you remember last year, the Bills were notorious when it came to slow starts in their football games with their opponents scoring first in 13 games. That's a trend that may be avoided with better practice habits.-
