Saturday Happenings

-I've said in earlier blogs that I'm not much of a uniform enthusiast. But I'll admit the Bills new (or old) throwback jerseys are pretty cool, especially the away ones. The Bills plan to wear the throwbacks 4 times this year against the Titans (Hall of Fame Game), at New England, at Tennessee, and home against Miami. I would of hoped the Bills would of tried, for the fans sake to wear the away jerseys at home. It makes sense considering the blue throwbacks have been in play since 2005. -

-For all you video game nerds, John Madden does not like Trent Edwards. Well maybe he likes him as a person, but not as a quarterback on his video game. Trent Edwards has a 76 rating on the New Madden game. Which may seem respectable, but not in comparison to Mark Sanchez. The rookie quarterback has a rating of 77. That's a pretty big slap in the face for Edwards and is most likely a byproduct of a New York player being over hyped beyond expectations.-

-The Bills added 2 new free agents into the mix for training camp. The team announced the signings of DL Corey Mace and CB Antwain Spann. Spann has played with the Patriots the last 3 years and was primarily used on special teams. The Mace signing seems like a signing out of necessity for training camp, considering the Bills are banged up at DT (John McCargo and Marcus Smith). Mace will be wearing the number 75 and Spann will be jersey number 36. I can hear the kids crying for those jerseys.
