Fans should take part of the blame for Peters departure

You happy now Bills fans? You were all for Jason Peters getting traded because he was severely under paid and wanted more money. All I heard last season and during the offseason were fans ranting and raving that Peters was a bum and didn't deserve a pay raise. Even Mike Schopp said that Kirk Chambers would be an adequate replacement for Peters, and was sick of Peters attitude. Yeah, thank god for Chambers!

My point in all this was that management at One Bills drive were listening to what the fans thought of Peters. They knew that the fans and some members of the media would be ecstatic if the Bills traded Peters. So if the fans don't care about the guy, then why should the organization pay him 10-12 million dollars. Now don't get me wrong, Peters doesn't get off scot free in all this. He did hold out which supposedly pissed off the Bills high brace and it backfired in his face.

Flash forward 6 months later, and the Bills offensive line is a disaster. Edwards is running for his life and is on pace to get sacked 60 times this year. You think those same fans who were happy Peters was traded are having second thoughts? You have to wonder in all this, if the fans were behind him and his contract squabble, maybe the Bills wouldn't of traded him.

Remember fans, people were happy Todd Collins took over for Jim Kelly in his twilight years and Doug Flutie was cut in favor of Rob Johnson. Be careful for what you wish for, because it will bite you in the ass.
