-I know it may sound cliche, but Pat Kelata is someone you'd hate to play, but love to have on your team. The dude is just an agitator. I know the knock on him has been him not wanting to fight. Honestly, if the dude draws two 4-minute majors in a game, he can lay the claim of being a lover, not a fighter-
-3rd and 4th Lines are MVP's thus far this year, Sabres are getting a lot of checking and hitting out of these lines. Matt Ellis is a Lindy Ruff player-
-Power play is still a big issue for the Sabres. They were 0-6 prior to Vanek's game winning goal. It's not that they aren't getting enough shots on goal, its just they aren't finishing-
-Tyler Myers and Tim Kennedy are impressing the s#$t out of me. Myers showed great poise and determination in assisting Clarke MacArthur's goal. Ruff is also showing a lot of faith in Myers by playing him over 6 minutes on the PP and over 19 minutes for the game (3rd most for defenseman). Good for Ruff throwing him into the fire. Kennedy looks very smooth with his passing ability, but I'd still like for Ruff to play him a little more (only played over 10 minutes)-
-Please Tyler, get up-
-Just 3 goals on 73 shots, not a stat I like! I know some fans will have the idea that sooner or later they will go in, but I've seen that song and dance too many times last year. I do like the effort over the first two games, but you have to finish!-
-I still think the Sabres need to stick with the Roy-Connolly-Vanek line. I know the timing of the line is way off, but it's still too early to pull the plug. I think putting arguably your most talented trio on the front line is a good move. Give them another 10 games to evaluate-
-Still don't know what to make of this game. I know the Coyotes beat the Penguins last night, but they are still the Coyotes. Shouldn't the Sabres have their way with a team that was terrible last year? Not to mention they were coming in on back-to-back nights-
