-Tyler Myers hasn't exactly been lighting the world on fire since the decision was made for him to stay with the Sabres. Myers had a terrible giveaway in the first period setting up the Islanders first goal. I think Lindy really needs to watch out for the kid's minutes. He's been one of the team's leaders in ice time and for being a 19-year old kid, he's still not use to playing all these minutes and games-
-Have to second guess Lindy Ruff decision on starting Ryan Miller tonight. Miller looked very tired and extremely passive, especially on the 2nd Islanders goal of the game. This was the perfect game to rest Miller, considering the Islanders aren't very good. With the Sabres schedule getting a lot harder over the next couple weeks, Miller should of been rested now in order to whether the upcoming storm. Lets not forget, Miller more than likely will be the USA's goalie in the Olympics come February. Getting him rest against lesser teams now is important-
-The Sabres still have problems finishing. It wasn't as if the Sabres didn't have their moments tonight. They dominated the 1st period, but as usual they made an average goalie look all-world. And wtf is up with Thomas Vanek, the dude is either over passing or chokes when he has a shoe-in goal opportunity-
-Even though the Sabres were involved with a couple of fights tonight, you can tell they really missed the physical play from Pat Kaleta & Paul Gaustad, who were out because of the flu-
-Speaking of the flu, for a team that has about 30 sponsorship deals with health care providers, couldn't the team get some free samples of Night Quill to fight the flu that is going around the team-
-It was a great October for the Sabres, but now things are going to start getting very interesting for the Sabres. Their November schedule consists of playing the Flyers three times, Boston twice, and both teams from Alberta. Luckily, the Sabres do play six of their next eight games at home starting Wednesday night against the Islanders-
