Jets get their wide

Cleveland Browns coach Eric Mangini has dumped dissatisfied wide receiver Braylon Edwards off on his former team. Mangini sent Edwards, a former first-round pick whose troubles have matched his immense talent to the New York Jets on Wednesday for wide receiver Chansi Stuckey, linebacker Jason Trusnik and undisclosed draft choices.

Mind of Joe
Here's the deal, I'm not exactly floored by the deal. But what should be noticed is the Jets are spending crazy jack on getting to the next level. Since the end of the 2007 season, the Jets have added Allan Faneca, Brett Favre, Bart Scott, Chris Jenkins, and now Braylon Edwards. Now don't get me wrong, does this make the Jets a perennial power? It remains to be seen, but it proves the Jets will make bold moves. And mark my words, more moves are yet to come because of their new stadium opening next year, which will free up a ton of new revenue for the team to spend. Look for the Jets to become like the Redskins and bring in FA after FA.
