The statue of Thurman Thomas is found

Orchard Park Police say that the Thurman Thomas tree carving that was taken from the Erie Community College parking lot following Sunday's Bills game has been found in Canada.

Investigators say the founder of Carvings for a Cause was contacted by a man in Ontario who told her he had the statue. He told her he took the carving because people in the parking lot were trying to burn it.

Police say Carvings for a Cause does not want to press charges and is working on getting the carving back.

No charges are being filed in the case.

Mind of Joe
You've got to be f$%ken kidding me!? I don't know what to say. I don't know what's funnier? People trying to burn the statue or someone couldn't bare the thought of Thurman being burned to the ground? Did the rescuer try and stand in front of the statue and yell, "If you burn Thurmantor you're going to have to burn me?!"

And if this dude was really trying to save Thurman's statue wouldn't he have driven it to the police station, not all the way to F'N Canada?! And WTF is up with border patrol in all this? You can't bring over Molson XXX but you can bring over a Statue?! So what are you declaring?Oh nothing much, just a F'N wooden statue of Thurman Thomas.

And now the organization is working to get the statue back? What the hell do they have to do? Call the Canadian Parliament and work out a deal? And to think the season is only 1 month old, WTF does the future hold?
