Action Jackson

136, 140, and 188. Those are Fred Jackson's total yards from scrimage for the last 3 games. Not too shabby for an undrafted player, who was playing in the AAA's of the Arena League. Jackson is making it awfully tough for Dick Jauron to insert Marshawn Lynch into the starting line-up when he comes back from suspension after week 3. Jackson just seems to know where to find the holes and can be a load to bring down.

I've been saying for weeks now that you shouldn't be surprised if Jackson takes over the starting spot over Lynch, mainly because Lynch sooner or later may want a new deal. But now money may be out of the question, it's about who is the better player. Jackson is the guy right now.

Jackson should be able to pad his stats next week facing a pretty bad New Orleans Saints defense. If the Bills don't fall behind against the Saints air it out offense, look for Jackson to again be the focal part of the offense. It will be interesting to see what the Bills do when Lynch comes back from suspension. If Lynch thinks he's going to be the every down back, he's surely mistaken. Can you say running back by committee?
