The Bills have placed TE Derek Schouman and T Brad Butler on injured reserve today. The two players suffered season-ending injuries in Sunday's win over the Buccaneers.
With Butler lost for the season, the Bills have made a move to add depth to the offensive line bringing in Jamon Meredith. Meredith was on the Packers practice squad. He was Green Bay's 5th round draft pick this April.
Meredith played both Tackle and Guard during his College career at South Carolina. He was a three-year starter at right and left tackle and then moved to the inside for his senior season with the Gamecocks.

Did you really think the Bills were going to sign Runyan? I mean that would mean giving the guy more than the veteran minimum for god sakes! But hey, the line has played pretty good thus far this season and are opening a lot of holes for Fred Jackson. But the Bills are playing with fire with a lack of veterans along the line. Not to mention the Bills haven't played a furious pass rush yet. Talk to me then about how the line looks then.
Fuck Runyan. You know when his name was first thrown out there I was a bit intrigued just because of that...his name. In fact your the one who's always telling me that lineman always make probowls because of there name, for instance Jason Peters last season. So I love the fact that our line is young and athletic. There really getting after people. Im glad we didn't sign some crusty veteran simply for the fact that he is a veteran. You have to build a team from the inside out and that's whats going on here. Go O line! Shit I might go get a Wood jersey! Ok on your other point about the pass rush...I see Miami and NY maybe giving us some trouble but the screen game can counteract an over agressive blitz happy defense. I just don't see how one old veteran coming off knee surgery can really make that much of a difference at this point.
ReplyDeleteYoung is fine...but young cast offs who were cut from their teams...eh
