I've run out of people to blame for the offense playing like this. Every week I change my mind on who I should fault. Maybe it's AVP or Schonert, Fairchild, Jauron, the line, Edwards, the Pope, or maybe the Bills should play in a dome. I've given up trying to figure out if it's the chicken or the egg..Hell, I'm in a dam chicken coup at this point!
All I know is some of the blame, should go to the people who are making the most money. Evans and T.O. are the highest paid wide receiver duo in the NFL this season. If they are seeing things out there that Edwards and AVP aren't seeing, then they have to call or use smoke signals to reach AVP in the press box.
I just can't get over how badly Lee Evans has been playing, not just this year but for over the last 2 seasons. This was the guy who caught 82 passes for almost 1300 yards when JP Losman was the QB. Now all of a sudden Evans is becoming a possession receiver. In the last 7 games dating back to last year, Only 1 of Evans catches has gone for 15 plus yards.
Oh wait, I was writing this column to put some blame on the wide outs and now after seeing how Evans numbers have dropped, I'm thinking of blaming Edwards for his decline. I just can't anymore.
Of course, I'll change my mind next week and blame Ralph Wilson for not firing Dick Jauron for the team's offensive futility.
